Production Method Of Electrical Energy by Enhanced Thermal Electron Emission
by the Use of Superior Semiconductors

 

The ProME3ThE2US2 project aims to develop, validate and implement a novel solid-state conversion mechanism able to transform concentrated solar radiation into electric energy, at very high efficiency, with a direct conversion obtained by an enhanced electron emission from advanced semiconductor structures.

Scientific and Technological Alliance for Guaranteeing the European Excellence in Concentrating Solar Thermal Energy

 

Objective: The main objective of this project is to promote coordination and support actions between institutions in the field of solar thermal energy. Funded by European Commission FP7 – ENERGY – 2013 IRP (2013 – 2017).

Enhanced Energy Production of Heat and Electricity by a combined Solar Thermionic-Thermoelectric Unit System

 

Project funded by the European Commission. The project started in January 2010 and will last 36 months. As a collaborative project it is part of the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission. The overall goal of this collaborative project is to design and realize innovative components for solar radiation concentrating systemsable to efficiently generate at the same time electricity and heat power and to reliably work at high temperatures (800-1000° C).
