Education:
  • PhD in Electronic Engineering from “Università degli Studi Roma Tre” in 2010. Thesis: “Diamond detectors for UV and X-ray source imaging: from technology to read-out electronics”. Tutor: Prof. G. Conte.

  • MS Degree in Electronic Engineering with first-class honours from “Università degli Studi Roma Tre” in 2007. Thesis: “Diamond detectors for X-ray beam monitoring” . Tutor: Prof. G. Conte.

 

Work experience:
  • 2012 to present: Post-doctoral researcher at CNR-IMIP (Institute of Inorganic Methodologies and Plasmas, National Research Council of Italy). Research activity: Diamond dosimeters and electronics for harsh environments applications.

  • 2009 to present: Contract professor at “Università degli Studi Roma Tre”, Faculty of Engineering

  • 2011-2012: Post-doctoral researcher at CNR-IFN (Institute for Photonics and Nanotechnologies, National Research Council of Italy). Research activity: Read-out electronics for identification and sequencing of cable-integrated sensors for harsh environments applications.

  • 2010-2011: Research Assistant at Dept. of Physics, “Università degli Studi Roma Tre”. Research activity: Characterization of electronic properties of mono- and poly- crystalline diamond substrates for ionizing radiation detectors.

  • 2007-2010: Research Assistant at Dept. of Electronic Engineering, “Università degli Studi Roma Tre”. Research activities: Wide band gap semiconductor based active and passive electronic devices.

 

Main research interests
  • Diamond detectors for ionizing radiations (UV, X-rays, gamma-rays) and nuclear particles.

  • Fabrication process  (lithography, film deposition, etc.) and test in harsh environments (DC and RF characterization in high temperature, radiation hardness) of MESFETs on H-terminated diamond.

  • Design, modelling, simulation and test of front-end and read-out electronics for diamond-based pixel detectors.

  • Wide band gap semiconductors (diamond, GaN) based devices for high-power and high-frequency applications.

  • Metal contacts technology for diamond-based active and passive devices.

  • Wide bandgap semiconductors physical and chemical characterization.
